TOV 25-125 What Does It Mean to Be a Godly Man?

TODAY’S FOCUS IS: Redefining Manhood According to God’s Original Design
3

Today we begin a journey to reclaim what it truly means to be a man—God’s way, not the world’s. From the battlefield of culture to the quiet place of prayer, God is calling His sons to rise up with courage, character, and conviction. The world has distorted manhood into either toxic aggression or passive silence. But neither represent the image of Christ.

Godly masculinity is not about dominance—it’s about dominion under God’s authority. It’s about protecting the weak, walking in truth, standing for justice, and living with compassion. It’s not a performance—it’s a calling. And you were made for it.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” — Micah 6:8 (ESV)

A godly man doesn’t wait for the world’s permission to lead. He doesn’t need applause to serve. He doesn’t lose his strength in humility—he finds it there.

To be a godly man is to walk in justice—living rightly even when it's costly. It’s to love mercy—treating others with grace, not vengeance. And it’s to walk humbly with God—not trying to control everything, but surrendering daily.

It’s time to drop the false definitions. You are not defined by your paycheck, your title, or your past. You are defined by the One who made you in His image.

Question of the Day:
Where in your life have you allowed culture to shape your view of manhood more than Christ?

Let’s Pray:
Father, I’m done chasing counterfeit versions of manhood. Teach me Your design. Make me a man who walks in justice, loves mercy, and stays humble before You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let’s Get To Work!
God is raising up a generation of men who won’t bow to culture but will rise in kingdom character. That starts with you—right now.
