What if I told you that you were only running at 80%? That somewhere in your life, there’s a hidden weight slowing you down, a barrier between you and God’s best? Maybe it’s fear—keeping you from stepping into the unknown. Maybe it’s pride—whispering that you’ve got it all under control. Maybe it’s comfort—seducing you into spiritual complacency. Whatever it is, that last 20% is holding you back from full surrender, full obedience, and full victory.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is: Hebrews 12:1 – "Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
Notice the two categories: everything that hinders and sin. Not all hindrances are sins, but they can still keep us from running our race. A habit. A toxic relationship. A mindset that says, “I’ll do it later.” These things don’t always scream rebellion, but they quietly steal your strength and focus.
So how do you drop that 20%? First, identify it. Be brutally honest with yourself—where have you been resisting God’s leading? Second, confess it. Bring it to the cross and lay it down. Third, take action. Real obedience isn’t just saying yes in your heart—it’s moving forward with your feet.
Warrior, this is a call to run unhindered. No more dragging weights. No more making peace with the enemy’s chains. It’s time to be fully free.
Question of the Day: What’s the one thing God has been nudging you to let go of, but you’ve been holding on to?
Let’s Pray: Lord, I don’t want to run at 80%. Show me what’s holding me back. Give me the courage to surrender it, and the strength to run my race unhindered. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let’s Get to Work!
