TOV 25-135 Hearing God During Spiritual Dryness

TODAY’S FOCUS IS: Trusting God’s Voice Even in the Silence
2

Every man of God eventually walks through a dry season—a time when God seems quiet, prayers feel unanswered, and the fire seems to fade. It doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re being invited to press in deeper. Because even when He’s silent, God is still speaking.

Spiritual dryness isn’t a sign of God’s absence—it’s often a setup for growth, character, and deeper dependence. Don’t quit in the silence. Learn to listen differently.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” — Isaiah 43:19 (ESV)

Dry seasons are wilderness seasons. But they’re also where God refines men into warriors. He strips away distractions. He calls you to listen with your heart, not just your ears.

When you don’t hear thunder, look for the whisper. When the heavens feel closed, trust what He already said. Open His Word. Stay in prayer. Keep your heart soft.

Remember, God didn’t stop speaking. He’s just drawing you closer.

Question of the Day:
Are you willing to keep trusting and seeking God—even when He feels silent?

Let’s Pray:
Lord, I feel dry. But I choose to trust You. Speak to me even in the stillness. Remind me that silence doesn’t mean separation. Draw me deeper into Your Word, and teach me to hear You even in the wilderness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let’s Get To Work!
God trains His strongest men in dry places. Don’t run from the silence—rise in it. He’s still speaking. Tune your ear to the whisper.
