Our springboard for today’s discussion is: Galatians 5:16 – "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh."
We live in a world that constantly pulls us toward self-indulgence. The flesh wants immediate gratification, the easy way out, and shortcuts that lead to destruction. The Spirit, on the other hand, calls us to something greater—discipline, obedience, and faithfulness. The tension between the two is real, but here’s the good news: we’re not powerless in this fight.
If you find yourself battling temptations, reacting in anger, or making decisions that pull you away from God, that’s the flesh at work. But when you choose patience over rage, purity over lust, humility over pride, and obedience over convenience, that’s the Spirit leading.
The key? Stay connected to God. Prayer isn’t a last resort—it’s your battle plan. Scripture isn’t just a book—it’s your weapon. Community isn’t optional—it’s your accountability. Walking by the Spirit isn’t passive; it’s an active choice to submit to God daily.
