Today, we’re diving into a truth that’s been overlooked by too many men. Spiritual growth isn’t a solo endeavor—it’s a process that requires the right company. Think about it: when you marinate a good piece of meat, it doesn’t just sit in isolation. It soaks up the flavors around it, changing from the inside out. The same is true for us.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is: Proverbs 27:17 – "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
You don’t grow stronger by surrounding yourself with lukewarm faith. You don’t sharpen your edge by standing alone. No, warrior, you need other godly men who will push you, challenge you, and remind you who you’re called to be. The world is constantly throwing distractions, temptations, and doubts your way. But a brother in Christ? He calls you higher. He holds you accountable. He reminds you that you were made for more.
Think about David and Jonathan. Paul and Timothy. Moses and Aaron. These weren’t isolated men—they thrived because of the godly connections around them. Who do you have sharpening you? Who’s speaking truth when the enemy whispers lies?
If you’re walking this road alone, it’s time to change that. Seek out a men’s Bible study. Find a brother who will pray with you, challenge you, and call out the warrior within you. If you already have that, pour into others. Strengthen them as you’ve been strengthened.
Question of the Day: Who in your life sharpens your faith, and how can you be intentional about growing in that brotherhood?
Let’s Pray: Lord, I thank You for the men You’ve placed in my life to strengthen and challenge me. Help me seek out true godly brotherhood and be a man who sharpens others. Keep me accountable, focused, and growing in faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let’s Get To Work!
