TOV 25-129 Walking in Strength and Humility

TODAY’S FOCUS IS: Becoming a Man Who Carries Power with Grace

In the world’s eyes, strength often looks like dominance, pride, and control. But in the kingdom of God, real strength is never divorced from humility. It’s the man who could crush others—but chooses to lift them instead. It’s the man who knows he’s strong—but leans on God even more.

God doesn’t just want strong men. He wants strong men who are surrendered. Because strength without humility turns into arrogance. But strength with humility becomes an unstoppable force for good.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” — James 4:6 (ESV)

God isn’t impressed by loud voices or flexed muscles. He’s looking for quiet strength that honors Him—men who don’t need to prove themselves, because they know who they are in Christ.

Jesus had every right to throw His weight around—but He chose to kneel, to wash feet, to serve. That’s not weakness. That’s power under perfect control.

Men, humility doesn’t mean being passive or insecure. It means having the courage to admit when you're wrong, the wisdom to listen, and the strength to say, “God, I need You.”

The world may praise pride. Heaven honors humility. And real men walk in both grace and grit.

Question of the Day:
Are you walking in a strength that glorifies self—or one that surrenders to God?

Let’s Pray:
Lord, give me the strength to lead with courage and the humility to serve with grace. Crush my pride and replace it with Your Spirit. Let my life reflect Jesus in both power and surrender. In His name, Amen.

Let’s Get To Work!
A man who walks humbly before God stands tall before giants. Don’t choose one or the other—embrace both strength and surrender.
