TOV 25-182 Being a Man of Integrity at Work

TODAY’S FOCUS IS: Doing What’s Right—Even When It Costs You
2

Integrity doesn’t start with a spotlight. It starts in silence. It’s not built on platforms or praise—it’s forged when no one’s watching. And let me tell you something, brother: the workplace is one of the greatest testing grounds of your character. Who you are behind the scenes matters more than what people see upfront.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is:
“Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.” — Proverbs 28:6 (ESV)

Let that settle for a second. The world will always celebrate success—no matter how it’s achieved. But the Kingdom of God honors the man who walks upright, even if it costs him comfort, status, or that big promotion.

Being a man of integrity means doing what’s right when no one’s clapping.

  • You don’t cut corners on your reports.

  • You don’t fudge the numbers to hit the mark.

  • You don’t laugh at the shady jokes to blend in.

It means showing up early and staying diligent. It means owning your mistakes instead of passing the blame.

And it means refusing to separate your faith from your work. If Jesus is Lord of your life, He’s Lord of your desk, your truck, your tools, and your team.

One of the greatest witnesses you’ll ever offer isn’t a Bible verse you quote—it's the consistency of your life.

Men notice when you keep your word. They watch how you treat the women in the office. They hear the way you speak about your boss when he’s not around.

Integrity is influence.

You want to lead where you work? Start with integrity. That’s the kind of man God honors and people trust.

Question of the Day:
What would your coworkers say about your character if your name wasn’t in the room?

Mini Call to Action:
Ask God to show you one area where your integrity needs tightening. Repent, realign, and take action today.

Prayer:
Father, make me a man of integrity. Not just in public, but in private. Help me reflect Your character through my choices at work. I don’t want to just succeed—I want to be trusted by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let’s Get to Work.
The world promotes charisma. God promotes character. Be the kind of man who can’t be bought, compromised, or shaken.
