Beloved in faith,
I greet you with a heart heavy yet hopeful, having traversed a tumultuous journey filled with divine revelation, anguish, persecution, and undying love for our God. As I pen down the chronicles of my existence from 627 BC to 586 BC, I find solace in the words of our Creator, who declared, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5, NIV)
My story began in the priestly town of Anathoth. From a tender age, the voice of the Lord resonated within me, though I often felt ill-equipped, being but a youth. Yet, God reassured, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.” (Jeremiah 1:7, NIV)
And so, with trepidation and trust, I embarked on my prophetic journey, voicing God's judgments upon a nation that had turned its back on Him, plunging into idolatry and moral decay. My words, though divinely inspired, were often met with hostility and scorn. But my mission was clear: to break down and to uproot, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant. (Jeremiah 1:10)
In a land filled with prophets who spoke pleasantries and false assurances, my pronouncements of impending doom, of the yoke of Babylon, and the desolation of our beloved Jerusalem, made me an outcast. “O LORD, you deceived me, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me." (Jeremiah 20:7, NIV) Such were my laments, as the weight of my calling bore heavily upon me.
Yet, amidst the despair, God's words were a fire in my bones, impossible to contain. I bore witness to the fall of our holy city, the tears of our people, the shackles of exile. My heart wept as I penned the Lamentations, a dirge for our fallen nation.
But beloved, my message was not solely of judgment and sorrow. Intertwined with the admonitions was a message of hope, a promise of renewal. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)
In the darkness of the dungeon, where I was cast for my proclamations, and in the mire of despair, the vision of the potter's house shone brightly. As the potter reshaped the marred clay, so too would the Lord reshape and redeem His people. “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?” declares the LORD. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.” (Jeremiah 18:6, NIV)
To you, who tread the path of faith in times beyond mine, let my life be a testament to the unwavering fidelity of God. Even when the horizon seems bleak, when faith falters, and hope dims, remember that our God is unchanging. His love is everlasting, His justice is righteous, and His mercies are new every morning.
As you navigate the tribulations and triumphs of your own journeys, remember always to seek His voice, to trust in His sovereign plans, and to find solace in His eternal promises. “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13, NIV)
In every challenge, see an opportunity for divine intervention; in every sorrow, the seeds of celestial comfort; and in every ending, the promise of a new beginning orchestrated by the Master Potter's hands.
With undying love for the Almighty and a prayer for your steadfastness in faith,
Jeremiah, The Weeping Prophet

Jeremiah is very appropriate to learn from in these troubling times. Learn that God LOVES justice & justice WILL COME! (see Psalms 33:4, 5)
Jeremiah 5:30–31
[30] An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land:
[31] the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule at their direction;
my people love to have it so, but what will you do when the end comes? (ESV)
I believe this is a duplicate of MY NAME IS JEREMIAH dated March 14, 2023. Definitely not identical, but the same Jeremiah. Nicely done, tho.
