A personal letter to the warrior who carries this banner.
TO: The soldier reading these words
FROM: S.W.A.T. Command — under the authority of the King of kings
RE: The King is coming back. Stand to your post.
Warrior,
Lift your eyes off the mud for a moment. I know the valley is real and the fight is long. But Command needs you to remember why you hold the line at all — and it is not so you can survive. It is because the King is coming back.
Every order you have ever received, every fire you have endured, every valley you have walked — all of it points to one horizon. One day the sky itself will tear open. “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” (Revelation 19:11) The same Jesus who once rode a humble donkey into Jerusalem to die — He returns on a war horse to reign.
Look at Him, soldier. Eyes like a flame of fire. Many crowns on His head. A robe dipped in blood — His own, the blood that bought you. And a name written that settles every argument forever: “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:16) This is not a hope. This is an appointment on the calendar of heaven. He will come. He will reign. And you were enlisted to be found ready when He does.
YOUR TACTICS FOR THE FIGHT
TACTIC 1 — LIFT YOUR EYES.
The first discipline of a saint waiting on the King is to keep watching the sky, not the storm. Hope is a weapon. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28) Your King has not forgotten the date.
TACTIC 2 — STAND READY.
He gave no soldier the hour, on purpose — so that every soldier would be ready at every hour. Live deployed, not relaxed. “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:44) Keep your armor on. Keep your post.
TACTIC 3 — KEEP YOUR ROBE CLEAN.
The armies of heaven follow Him clothed in fine linen, white and clean (Revelation 19:14). That linen is the righteous acts of the saints. How you fight now is the uniform you will wear then. Walk worthy. “Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1)
TACTIC 4 — TRUST THE VERDICT.
You will not have to win the final battle — you will witness it. The King Himself treads the winepress; the sword comes from His mouth, not your hand. Your job is faithfulness; the victory is His. “And he shall rule them with a rod of iron.” (Revelation 19:15) Fight your fight today and leave the war’s end to the One who has already written it.
TACTIC 5 — SOUND THE CRY.
Rehearse now what all creation will do then. Our King is coming — King of kings and Lord of lords! “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow... and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” (Philippians 2:10–11) Every knee bows on that day — make sure yours is already bent in joy, not forced in defeat.

The armies of heaven ride in formation, white and clean — and so do we. No warrior wants to be found standing alone when the sky opens.

THE PROMISE OVER YOU
Soldier, this is the promise that outranks every other promise in this whole series:
“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” — Revelation 19:16 (KJV)
“And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” — Philippians 2:11 (KJV)
Every fight you have ever lost, every enemy that ever boasted over you, every dark thing that ever seemed to win — all of it gets one final answer, and the answer is His name. He will reign. Forevermore. There is no version of the future where the King does not return and the saints do not win. You are not waiting to see if. You are standing to your post until you see Him.
So lift up your head. The trumpet is already in heaven’s hand.
The Lion has come — hear His righteous roar. Prepare, oh saints, for the final war.
King of kings and Lord of lords. He will reign forevermore.
