A Letter from Paul: An Introduction to the New Testament

I urge you to immerse yourselves in these writings.

Location: Israel
Time: Circa 50 A.D.
Primary Scripture: John 1:1-5 — "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him, nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind."

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. As I write to you, I marvel at the work of God unfolding before us. We are witnesses to the fulfillment of His promises, the continuation of the story He began long ago with our forefathers. This story, now revealed in its fullness, is the foundation of what we call the New Testament.

The New Testament is not a separate story but the continuation and completion of the one begun in the Old Testament. It reveals that the God who created the heavens and the earth is the same God who loves mankind with an unyielding love. He desires to dwell among us, to be near to us, and to bring us into a close relationship with Him. Yet, as the Old Testament shows, humanity has continually separated itself from God through sin, rebellion, and disbelief.
