I believe that God does indeed speak to us in dreams, I also believe that if HE gives them to us, HE will give us the meaning to them at some point - but that we should always be cautious in trying to push meaning, or apply meaning.
I've only had one dream that I know for sure was given to me and I prayed about it, and God revealed the meaning months later. I wrote about it, and even preached it at my church that I was attending at the time.
