Dreams are one of the many ways God communicates with His people. Throughout Scripture, we see how the Lord speaks through visions and dreams, guiding His people with divine wisdom. But just as God speaks, the enemy also seeks to distort, confuse, and attack through nightmares, deception, and false visions. When our minds are vulnerable in sleep, spiritual warfare doesn’t stop. The battle for truth continues even in our rest.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is: 2 Corinthians 10:5 – "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ."
The enemy will try to plant seeds of fear, doubt, and confusion. He will attempt to counterfeit God’s voice, making people believe they’ve received divine revelation when, in reality, it’s meant to mislead. False dreams can cause anxiety, pull people away from God’s truth, or even lead them into error. That’s why discernment is crucial. If a dream contradicts the character of God or His Word, it must be tested and rejected.
So how do we guard our minds and protect our sleep? First, we must cover our rest in prayer, asking God to shield our dreams from the enemy’s interference. Second, we must renew our minds daily with Scripture, ensuring that God's truth is the filter through which we process all things, including dreams. Third, we take authority over our thoughts and reject anything that brings confusion, fear, or condemnation, rebuking the enemy in Jesus’ name.

Let’s Pray: Lord, we surrender our minds and dreams to You. Protect us from the enemy’s deception and fill our nights with Your peace and revelation. Give us discernment to recognize Your voice and reject any lie. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
