This passage in today’s devotion stuck out to me today:

“The wise builder does not merely listen to good advice and admire it; he acts on it.”

There's no point in being a learner and follower in Jesus Christ having his spirit indwelling unless we are doing what He asks of us and to be holy spirit led. Otherwise we are no better than hypocrites. James tells us; But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

James 1:22-27

Matthew 7:24-27; Luke 6:46-49

What I have struggled with in the past and discussed in prayer with Heavenly father is how do I implement everything he asks of us in one day and is that even possible? And could he help me be at peace for not fulfilling such.

The truth is that everything that our father in Heaven asks us to do is impossible unless we turn to Him and ask Him for His help and strength and by the power of His spirit. We have to ask Him to help us. We cannot live in our Lord Jesus Christ in our own might, strength, or self works. Like Jesus himself said “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me." John 5:30
