Why Are We Here… Where We Are At?
"Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division." —Luke 12:51 (ESV)

Warriors, let’s get straight to it. We look around at the world, and maybe even at our own families, and ask, Why is there so much division? Why is everything so tense, so uncertain? Jesus answers this question clearly in Luke 12:51-56—He didn’t come to bring the peace that makes life comfortable. He came to divide—to draw a line in the sand between truth and lies, between light and darkness.
This isn’t the watered-down version of Jesus the world likes to paint. This is the real Jesus, the King who shakes things up and calls us to live with boldness. He said families would be divided—three against two, fathers against sons, mothers against daughters. Why? Because following Jesus means taking a stand for truth, and truth isn’t always popular. It’s uncomfortable. It challenges the status quo, and it will cause friction.
So, why are we here, right where we are?
Jesus doesn’t just ask us to follow Him into a life of comfort and ease. No, He calls us to stand firm, even when things get messy. The division He’s talking about isn’t just out there in the world—it’s in our own homes, our workplaces, and our communities. We’re here, brothers, because God has strategically placed us in this moment to bring His truth into the chaos.
But here’s where it gets real: Are we paying attention to what God is doing around us?
In verses 54-56, Jesus calls out the crowd for being able to predict the weather but completely missing the signs of the times. Sound familiar? How often do we get caught up in the day-to-day distractions, missing the bigger spiritual picture? We analyze everything around us—our finances, our careers, the news—but if we aren’t spiritually alert, if we’re not tuned into what God is doing, we risk missing our purpose.
What’s the next step?
It’s time to stop just going through the motions, brothers. We need to be fully awake and ready to live boldly in the truth of Jesus, no matter the cost. Ask yourself: Am I living in a way that sets me apart? Am I willing to embrace the division that comes with standing firm in Christ?
This week, I challenge you to take a bold step. Pick one area of your life where you’ve been holding back—whether it’s in your conversations, your relationships, or your decisions. Stop trying to avoid conflict and start living like Jesus called you to live: with boldness, conviction, and courage. Speak the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. Let’s not miss the signs.

Matthew, Having a few difficulties, as I have switched from a Windows OS to Mac OS. With that said..in 2015, the Lord put a word in my Spirit to to know truth, nothing but the truth, absolute truth. From this vantage point I am still pressing into this wonderful vast sea of opportunity to share undeniable Truth. Thank you for answering your call, we are brothers on the wall, and we refuse to come down! I see in you also the calling of prophesy speaking to those thing that are not, as though they are. What a Time we live in. Well Glory, His Truth shall prevail.
