You don’t have to have biological children to be a father in the kingdom. God is looking for men who will rise up and become spiritual fathers—men who pour into others, speak life into the next generation, and carry the mantle of mentorship.
In a world full of absent dads and father wounds, God is raising up men who will take responsibility—not just for their own, but for those who’ve been left behind. You don’t need a perfect past. You just need to be present.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is:
“For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers.” — 1 Corinthians 4:15 (ESV)
There’s a difference between being a guide and being a father. Guides give directions. Fathers walk beside you, shape your identity, and model what it means to follow Jesus when it’s hard.
Spiritual fathers encourage, correct, protect, and call out the best in others. They don’t just drop wisdom—they invest time. They open their lives. They live in a way that says, “Follow me as I follow Christ.”
You may feel unqualified, but here’s the truth: your scars can speak louder than your successes. Your obedience today can become someone else’s testimony tomorrow.
Question of the Day:
Who is watching your life right now—and how can you begin to spiritually father them?
Let’s Pray:
Father, make me more than a man who follows You. Make me a man who helps others follow You too. Give me eyes to see those who need a spiritual father and a heart that’s willing to invest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let’s Get To Work!
Your words can shape futures. Your presence can heal wounds. Step into the role—and legacy—God is calling you to build.
