Leadership isn’t proven on a stage. It’s proven at home. As men, we’re called to lead—but not with control or domination. We’re called to lead like Jesus led: through sacrifice, service, and love. If you want to know what kind of man you are, don’t look at your job title. Look at how you serve your wife, your children, your family.
You were never called to be the king of your castle. You were called to be the priest, the protector, and the servant-leader of your home.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is:
“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.” — Ephesians 5:25 (ESV)
That one verse dismantles every excuse for selfishness. Christ didn’t lead the church by demanding from her. He laid Himself down for her. And that’s your standard.
You lead by serving first. You protect by putting others before yourself. You make decisions with humility, wisdom, and prayer. You set the tone—not just with your voice, but with your example.
Sacrificial leadership means doing the dishes when you're tired. It means praying over your family even when you feel spiritually dry. It means saying no to selfishness and yes to responsibility.
You’re not just leading people—you’re shaping legacies.
Question of the Day:
What area of your home life needs more of your leadership—and less of your comfort or convenience?
Let’s Pray:
Lord, teach me to lead like You. Help me to put my family before myself, to love with patience, to serve with joy, and to lead with godly strength. Make me the man my home needs. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
