TOV 25-079 Empowered to Lead: The Spirit’s Role in Your Calling

TODAY'S FOCUS IS: Leading with Power Through the Holy Spirit

2

Let’s get real for a moment—leadership isn’t for the weak. Whether you’re leading in your home, your workplace, or your ministry, you know that the weight of responsibility can feel overwhelming. But here’s the truth most men overlook: God never intended for you to lead in your own strength. The Holy Spirit isn’t just a comforting presence—He is the power behind every step of obedience, every decision made in wisdom, and every act of courage you take.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is: Acts 1:8 – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Jesus didn’t send His disciples out empty-handed. He told them to wait for the power of the Holy Spirit, because He knew they’d need supernatural strength to fulfill their calling. That same power is available to you today. When you surrender your leadership to the Spirit, you stop relying on your own limited strength and start operating with divine wisdom and boldness. He sharpens your discernment, strengthens your resolve, and empowers you to lead with integrity.

If you’re feeling inadequate, here’s your answer: Lean into the Holy Spirit. Before making decisions, ask Him for guidance. Before speaking, ask Him for wisdom. Before taking action, ask Him for boldness. When you do, you’ll find that your leadership isn’t just effective—it’s anointed.

Question of the Day: Where in your life do you need the Holy Spirit’s power the most?

Let’s Pray: Father, I acknowledge that true leadership comes not from my own strength but through Your Spirit. Fill me with wisdom, courage, and power to lead in the way You have called me. Help me to listen, obey, and move in step with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
