Today, we’re diving into a topic that challenges the way we approach our faith. In a world of instant gratification, many believers want quick spiritual transformation. They want a microwave miracle, a drive-thru discipleship, and a faith that fits in a five-minute devotional. But the truth is, deep spiritual growth doesn’t happen overnight—it takes time, commitment, and patience.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is: Joshua 1:8 – "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."
Too many of us approach God like a fast-food counter—we place our order, expect immediate answers, and get frustrated when things take longer than expected. We want wisdom, but we don’t spend time in God’s Word. We want strength, but we neglect prayer. We want transformation, but we avoid the refining fire that makes us more like Christ.
But real faith, lasting faith, is like a slow marination. It soaks in the presence of God, day after day. It’s the man who rises early to seek Him, who lets the Word saturate his soul, who allows the Spirit to shape him through trials and triumphs. This kind of faith doesn’t just get you through the week—it prepares you for eternity.
Question of the Day: Are you willing to let your faith marinate, or are you still looking for a quick fix?
Let’s Pray: Lord, teach me to slow down and soak in Your presence. Let my faith be deeply rooted in Your Word, growing stronger each day. Give me patience and persistence in my walk with You. Amen.
Let’s Get To Work!
