For a good 15 to 20 years, I was flying solo, facing life's challenges without a support network. It took a brave bunch from my church to pull me into their circle, and it turned my life around.

I wasn't brought up in a faith-based household. Nobody taught me the ropes of prayer, worship, or how to tune into a higher calling. It was during those years of transformation that I realized the power of unity with God and true friends – it's where we find our strength, our safety, and our freedom.
