The Wake-Up Call: Your Marching Orders from the King
TODAY'S FOCUS IS: Answering the Call Before It’s Too Late
"For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead." —James 2:26
Will You Hear ‘Well Done’?
Picture it, brother.
Standing before Jesus Christ.
No more distractions. No more excuses. No more hiding behind busyness or fear. The only thing that will matter in that moment is how you lived this life for Him.
What will you hear?
✔️ "Well done, good and faithful servant."
❌ Or a silence that echoes regret?
We all want to hear those words. But wanting them isn’t enough. It takes action. It takes work.
Jesus didn’t die so we could live comfortable, half-hearted Christian lives. He saved us for a purpose. He placed resources in our hands, gifts in our lives, and work in our path—and He expects a return on that investment.
The Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30 makes it clear:
💡 God has given you something to work with.
💡 He’s watching what you do with it.
💡 One day, He will hold you accountable.
No More Sitting on the Sidelines
A lot of men in the church today are asleep at the wheel. They’ve accepted salvation but have not stepped into service.
They love the title ‘Christian’ but have never stepped into the responsibilities of discipleship.
Men, faith without works is dead. That’s not my opinion. That’s the Word of God (James 2:26).
👉 You were created for more than just attending church once a week.
👉 You were called to be more than a spectator.
👉 You are supposed to be a warrior, a builder, a leader in God’s kingdom.
And yet, so many men sit back and do nothing.
They spend their time, energy, and resources only on themselves—on comfort, entertainment, financial security, or chasing personal goals.
The enemy loves this.
Satan doesn’t have to destroy you if he can just keep you distracted and ineffective.
What Has God Given You?
Jesus has entrusted you with talents. Not just money—but time, energy, influence, spiritual gifts, skills, and wisdom.
Are you using them for the Kingdom, or are they going to waste?
Think about it:
✔️ Your money – Are you generous with it, or do you hoard it for yourself?
✔️ Your time – Are you investing in discipling others, leading your family, and serving, or just wasting hours scrolling and watching TV?
✔️ Your talents – Are you using your gifts to bless others, or are they collecting dust?
✔️ Your influence – Are you leading people toward Jesus, or just blending in?
Brother, if you’re still breathing, God’s not done with you.
What Do We Do?
1. Take Inventory of What You’ve Been Given
Write down every resource, gift, and opportunity God has placed in your life.
✔️ Money
✔️ Time
✔️ Leadership skills
✔️ Business experience
✔️ Teaching abilities
✔️ Wisdom
✔️ Physical strength
✔️ Influence over others
Be real. God has given you something. What is it?
2. Assign Those Gifts to a Mission
Look at what’s on your list. Now ask yourself: Where can these resources be put to work for God?
✔️ Who needs your encouragement?
✔️ Who needs your leadership?
✔️ Who needs your generosity?
✔️ Who needs your time?
Start making connections between what you have and who needs it.
3. Make a Move—TODAY
Faith without works is dead. So start walking.
🔥 If God has given you the ability to lead, start leading.
🔥 If God has given you the ability to teach, start teaching.
🔥 If God has given you financial resources, start giving.
🔥 If God has given you a strong body, start serving.
🔥 If God has given you influence, start speaking truth.
Jesus doesn’t need more men with good intentions. He needs men who take action.
Challenge of the Week
✅ Write down the talents and resources God has given you.
✅ Match each talent to a need in your church, family, or community.
✅ Take one bold step this week to put your faith into action.
✅ Ask a brother to hold you accountable.
Let’s Pray
Father,
You have given me life, strength, and resources—not to waste, but to use for Your glory. Forgive me for any laziness, fear, or selfishness that has kept me from fully obeying You. I surrender my time, talents, and treasure into Your hands. Show me where to serve, and give me the courage to act. I don’t want to waste what You’ve given me. I want to hear ‘Well done.’ In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Men, there is work to be done.
Jesus is watching.
