Step Up or Step Aside: What’s Your Bold Move?
"The Lord is on my side; I will not fear." —Psalm 118:6
Brother, let’s get straight to it: What’s the bold move? This question needs to be at the forefront of your mind, especially when you gather with other men of faith. It’s not just a challenge; it’s a call to push beyond intellectual belief and step into real, practical action for Jesus. It dares you to take the truth of the Gospel and make it a living, breathing reality in your life.
James 2:14 asks us, "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works."
When we men step out boldly, we don’t just talk about faith—we live it. It shows the world that we actually trust Jesus enough to risk, to act, and to live like we believe He’s in control. Maybe for you, it’s drawing firm boundaries between work and home life, even though it’s tough. Maybe it’s confessing that hidden sin, despite the embarrassment. Maybe it’s giving away money or time, even though it’s inconvenient. Maybe it’s sharing your faith with someone, even though it scares you.
For each of us, there comes a point when our faith demands action—when staying passive isn’t an option anymore. That’s when things begin to shift, when we see God move in powerful ways—not because we’re chasing after the big moments, but because bold faith leads to bold outcomes.
So, what do we do next?
What’s your bold move this week? Choose something concrete—something simple, immediate, and achievable. If you’re part of a men’s group (and you should be), challenge each other to identify your bold moves. Then, hold each other accountable to follow through. This is how real Christian community works, brother.

Your brother in Christ,
