Dear Believers,
I am Saul, the first king of Israel, chosen by God Himself, yet my life's tale is a paradox of divine election, personal frailty, and the weighty consequences of disobedience. My narrative unfolds in the books of 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel.
My story begins in humility, the son of Kish, a Benjamite of standing, yet I, in my modesty, felt insignificant (1 Samuel 9:21). My life took a divine turn when I met the prophet Samuel while looking for my father's lost donkeys. Samuel, guided by God's revelation, anointed me as Israel's first king, a position I initially resisted due to my perceived inadequacy (1 Samuel 10).
