My am the son of Jehoahaz and the grandson of Jehu.

My name is Jehoash, born in 798 BC, the son of Jehoahaz and the grandson of Jehu. I reigned as the 12th king of the northern kingdom of Israel for 16 years. My life was both a testament of God's promises and the consequences of human actions. Though my lineage bore the promise God made to Jehu, my reign was tainted by the continuation of the idolatrous practices that had plagued our people.
