My Name Is Ibzan...

I am Ibzan, mentioned briefly in the Old Testament in the book of Judges.

Greetings in the name of the Most High. I am Ibzan, mentioned briefly in the Old Testament in the book of Judges. Although my story is not as extensively detailed as others, it is nonetheless an important testament to a time when the people of Israel were led by judges, before we had kings.

I served as a judge of Israel for seven years, following Jephthah and preceding Elon (Judges 12:8-10). I came from Bethlehem, which in itself holds importance as the birthplace of our dear King David and, later, Jesus Christ.
