Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am Ehud, son of Gera, from the tribe of Benjamin, known as a man who was left-handed. My story, as recorded in the scriptures, reflects God’s power to use even the smallest details of our makeup for His greater glory and purposes. It is my hope that in sharing the narrative of my life, you might find encouragement and strength in the Lord, who is always working, often in ways beyond our understanding.

During a time when the children of Israel had once again fallen into sin, we came under the heavy yoke of Eglon, king of Moab. For eighteen long years, Eglon, with the aid of the Ammonites and Amalekites, subjected us to severe oppression. As Israel groaned under this burden, we cried out to the Lord for deliverance, and in His mercy, He chose to act through me—a choice that might have seemed unlikely at first.
