Dear Faithful and Seekers of Truth,

I am Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, and a judge who led Israel during a time of oppression and turmoil. My story is one of faith, courage, and divine inspiration, recorded in the Book of Judges, chapters four and five. I write this letter to share with you not just the history of my leadership, but the enduring faithfulness of God who empowers the unlikely to accomplish His will.

During my time, Israel was subjected to twenty years of harsh rule under Jabin, the king of Canaan, whose commander, Sisera, had nine hundred iron chariots and cruelly oppressed the children of Israel. It was a period marked by despair and desperation, as the people cried out to God for deliverance from their oppressors.
