I am David, a shepherd boy who rose to be king, a musician who charmed an evil spirit, a warrior who slew a giant, and a poet who penned psalms of faith, despair, and praise. My life is a testament to God's grace, love, mercy, and judgment. My story unfolds across several books of the Bible, primarily in 1 Samuel 16 through 1 Kings 2, and in 1 Chronicles.

Born in Bethlehem, the youngest of Jesse's eight sons, I spent my early years tending sheep, learning faithfulness, courage, and reliance on God. One pivotal day, Samuel, the prophet, arrived at my father's house. God led him to me, the least expected, and anointed me as the future king of Israel (1 Samuel 16:1-13).
