Dear Recounters of Bygone Eras,

I am Athaliah, a name that, for many, reverberates with notions of ambition, dominance, and perhaps for some, notoriety. I ruled Judah from 840 BC to 835 BC, a period fraught with challenges, upheavals, and the undying flame of my determination. My intent in this letter is not to seek absolution but to shed light upon the choices that carved my path and to allow you to ponder the relentless tides of time and destiny.

The realm of power is not for the faint-hearted. Born into royalty, as the daughter of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel of Israel, I was not a stranger to the intricate dance of alliances and politics.
