My Name Is Aaron...
Aaron, brother of Moses, Servant of God, and the first High Priest of Israel
Dear Believers in the Faith Everlasting,
I am Aaron, brother to Moses and by divine appointment, the first High Priest of Israel. As I recount the story of my life, it unfolds as a testament to the mercy and purpose of God, even amidst human frailty and failure. Through this letter, I wish to share with you the moments that have defined my journey and the divine grace that has been evident through each phase.
Born into the bondage of Israel in Egypt, my early life was shadowed by the harsh decrees of Pharaoh. Yet, in the midst of our oppression, God was preparing a deliverance that would mark history forever. My brother Moses, whom I met in his later years after he had fled Egypt, was chosen by God to lead this deliverance. When God called Moses from the burning bush, He also called me to stand by my brother's side. "What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and his heart will be glad when he sees you" (Exodus 4:14, NIV). This divine reunion set the stage for what was to become a partnership in leading God’s people out of slavery.
