To the world, Jacob may be known as the chosen one, the inheritor of a divine promise that began with Abraham and flowed through Isaac. However, I've seen a man in Jacob that is more complex than the narratives would lead you to believe. From the moment he set his eyes on me by the well in Paddan Aram, something spoke to both our souls. He was a stranger, yet in an inexplicable way, he felt like home.
