Isaac's life, when viewed through the eyes of his son Esau, offers a unique vantage point that isn’t always deeply explored. While Isaac's life may seem serendipitous and blessed from the outset, as the elder son of this patriarch, my insights may offer a different perspective.

A Father's Favoritism

While it is true that Isaac was gifted with an amazing wife through little effort on his part, it is also true that he perpetuated the cycle of favoritism that began with his own father, Abraham. As the firstborn son, I was supposed to inherit the lion's share of the blessings and responsibilities. Yet, my father’s affection for my twin brother Jacob, who was born holding my heel, overshadowed my place as the eldest.
