If You See Hate on SubStack, Report It: Take Authority Against the Darkness
TODAY'S FOCUS IS: Standing Against Hate on Substack
Let me be blunt. Hate has no place here. Substack, a platform designed to amplify voices, is being infiltrated by the poison of antisemitism, neo-Nazism, and other forms of vile bigotry. Iâve seen it, and Iâm sure many of you have, too. From outright Nazi propaganda to the insidious lies of Replacement Theologyâletâs call it what it is: a repackaged form of antisemitic hate.
This isn't about silencing voices. I believe in the First Amendment with all my heart. But freedom of speech does not mean freedom to spread hate. The Founding Fathers fought tyranny and injustice; they didnât stand idly by while evil festered. And neither should we.
The Authority to Stand Against Evil
As followers of Christ, we are called to take authority over the darkness. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 5:11 (ESV): âTake no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.â Reporting hate is not being petty or vindictive; itâs a righteous act of exposing and dismantling evil.
Substack is a platform for sharing ideas, encouragement, and truth. But when lies and hatred are allowed to grow unchecked, they spread like cockroaches. And if we donât eradicate them now, this infestation will overrun the platformâand it will be on us.
Recognizing the Enemy Within
Letâs not mince words: Replacement Theology, a doctrine claiming that the Church has replaced Israel in Godâs promises, is nothing less than a tool of hate dressed up in theological robes. It denies the Jewish people their God-given covenant and plays into the same antisemitic narratives the Nazis once wielded.
To those peddling this garbage under the guise of Christianity, hear me clearly: You are not preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. You are spreading a message contrary to the Word of God. As Paul wrote in Romans 11:1-2 (ESV): âI ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew.â
The covenant God made with Israel is eternal, and anyone teaching otherwise is not walking in truth.
Reporting Hate: Your Responsibility
Substack has made it clear: reporting content is anonymous. You donât need to fear retaliation or confrontation. Hate thrives when good people stay silent. If you encounter antisemitism, white supremacy, Nazi propaganda, or any other form of hate on this platform, report it immediately.
James 4:17 (ESV) says, âSo whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.â Sitting back and allowing hate to grow unchecked makes us complicit.
Why This Matters to Christians
Some may argue that reporting hate is censorship. Let me remind you of Proverbs 31:8-9 (ESV): âOpen your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.â
As Christians, we are called to defend the vulnerable and stand against injustice. Antisemitism and racism are attacks on Godâs creation, and tolerating them is an affront to His commands.
Hate is not just a social issue; itâs a spiritual battle. Ephesians 6:12 (ESV) reminds us: âFor we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.â
When we report hate, we are wielding the sword of truth against the forces of darkness.
Taking Practical Steps
Be Vigilant: When scrolling through Substack, donât turn a blind eye to hateful content. Read with discernment and pray for wisdom.
Report Immediately: Use Substackâs reporting tools to flag hate-filled posts. Itâs anonymous, effective, and your duty.
Speak Out: If you have a platform, use it to call out hate and encourage others to take action. Silence is complicity.
Pray for Change: Hate is a spiritual disease, and only God can transform hearts. Pray for those spreading lies and for the victims affected by their words.
Educate Others: Many people donât realize the harm Replacement Theology and other hateful doctrines cause. Share the truth of Scripture to expose these lies.
Be Bold, Be Strong
This isnât a time for soft words or hesitant action. Hate cannot be reasoned with or ignored. It must be confronted head-on. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, ESV).
When you see hate, donât let fear stop you from doing whatâs right. Remember Joshuaâs charge in Joshua 1:9 (ESV): âHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.â
God is with us as we take a stand against hate. He calls us to be salt and light in the world, not to retreat into passivity.
A Challenge for the Week
Make it your mission this week to be vigilant. As you navigate Substack or other online platforms, watch for hate and take immediate action when you see it. Pray for wisdom, ask God to give you boldness, and act decisively.
Letâs Pray
Lord, give us courage and wisdom to stand against hate wherever we find it. Help us to be bold in defending truth and justice. Soften the hearts of those who spread lies and hate, and bring them to repentance. Let us be salt and light in a dark world, exposing evil and glorifying You in all we do. Amen.
Final Word
If we donât eradicate hate now, it will overrun this platform like cockroaches in the dark. Warriors, itâs time to step up. Report hate. Confront evil. Take authority. This is a battle we cannot afford to lose.
Letâs Get To Work.
