Healing Through Faith: My Journey from MS to Miracles – Part Two
TODAY'S FOCUS IS: Why Our Words Matter and Walking in Faith
"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." — Proverbs 23:7 (ESV)
What did I learn?
That I can be dumber than a paper sack full of wet rocks!
You’d think that after seeing God completely heal me of MS, I would have learned my lesson about speaking the wrong words.
Nope.
Several years later, my blood pressure began climbing higher and higher. And instead of immediately taking it to God, I did what most of us do—I spoke defeat.
I even said, “Michelle…I gotta get my high blood pressure under control.”
Yup. I walked right into the enemy’s trap… with my dumb mouth.
The Night I Almost Died
One night, I wasn’t feeling well. I turned to Michelle and said:
"Honey…I think you need to call 911. I don’t feel right…I can’t breathe."
The paramedics arrived and checked my vitals.
My blood pressure was 212/209.
The paramedic just looked at me and said,
"Mr. Adams, I don’t even want you to move. Just relax. We need to get you to the hospital."
God Set Me Free Again
I went through a battery of tests.
The doctors diagnosed me with high blood pressure and congestive heart disease.
I could have accepted that diagnosis. But this time, I knew better.
I went to God and repented for my words.
And today? I am happy to report:
Zero signs of Congestive Heart Disease.
Blood pressure is steady at 133/76!
God did it again.
Your Words Matter!
James 3:10 – "From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so."
Psalm 107:20 – "He sent out His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction."
Matthew 8:17 – "He took our illnesses and bore our diseases."
Stop speaking ownership over things that do not belong to you!!
Challenge of the Week:
Identify one thing in your life you need to stop claiming.
Pray and give it completely to God.
Speak life over your body, your family, your finances—whatever the enemy has tried to steal.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank You for the power of Your Word. I repent for any words I have spoken that contradict Your promises. I release every sickness, every struggle, and every stronghold to You. I declare healing, restoration, and victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Thank you for you BP story. I also battle this. I earned it during my LEO career lol. I also find that the more I listen to " Trust In Me" from the Lord. The easier things seem to get. I was working 12-15 hour shifts at my security job and had to go to part-time. BP is back to normal and life is good. I was also working EVERY Sunday. Not anymore. Going to a men's breakfast Saturday. And Sunday service this weekend.
