GENESIS 12:3, ISRAEL, AND THE DIVIDE IN AMERICAN CHRISTIANITY
TODAY'S FOCUS IS: Who Really Blesses Israel—Ted Cruz, Tucker Carlson, or the Church?
“I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”—Genesis 12:3 (ESV)
What happens when the Word of God collides with politics, media, and national security? What happens when two high-profile voices—Ted Cruz and Tucker Carlson—clash over Israel's right to defend itself? And more importantly, what happens when self-proclaimed Christians take sides that reveal their true theology—not based on Scripture but rooted in secularism, nationalism, or worse... replacement theology?
Let’s be clear. This is not just a debate about foreign policy. This is not just an argument between a senator and a media icon. This is a revealing moment of spiritual division. This is about Genesis 12:3. This is about the covenant God made with Abraham, and it is about whether we as believers choose to honor that covenant—or stand in defiance of it.
And yes... there is a line in the sand.
THE CLASH: TED CRUZ VS. TUCKER CARLSON
Recently, a tense exchange between Senator Ted Cruz and Tucker Carlson exposed something far more dangerous than disagreement. It exposed confusion in the body of Christ. Cruz defended Israel’s right to act decisively against Hamas and Hezbollah. Carlson pushed back, questioning why Americans should support a nation “that’s not our own.” Cruz responded forcefully, arguing from both political and moral grounds, citing Israel as a faithful ally in a region crawling with demonic ideologies.
On the surface, this is geopolitical. But spiritually? This is a litmus test for the soul of the modern Church.
Let me say it plainly: Ted Cruz was right. Tucker Carlson was dead wrong.
Now I know some of you admire Tucker. He’s articulate, bold, and often exposes media lies. But when it comes to Israel—he is blind. And spiritual blindness in the last days is not a symptom to ignore. It’s a sign of judgment.
GENESIS 12:3 — THE DIVINE LITMUS TEST
God made a promise to Abraham: “I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse.” That wasn’t poetry. That wasn’t hyperbole. That was a covenant decree from the mouth of the Living God.
You bless Israel, you’re blessed.
You curse Israel, you’re cursed.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a politician, a president, a media mogul, or a megachurch pastor.
This verse is not about favoritism. It’s about alignment with God's purposes on the earth.
Now, here's where the Church is being sifted.
REAL CHRISTIANS VS. CULTURAL “CHRISTIANS”
There are two kinds of Christians in this hour—those who understand God’s covenant with Israel, and those who believe the Church has replaced Israel.
Let’s get something straight:
Real Christians know the Bible doesn’t change with political winds.
Real Christians understand Jesus was a Jew, not a Western progressive.
Real Christians know the promises to Israel are still active, still binding, and still unfolding.
Real Christians tremble at the idea of cursing what God has called holy.
But cultural Christians—those who claim Christ but follow conspiracy, comfort, or clickbait—are dangerously loud right now. They scoff at Israel. They spiritualize Genesis 12. They say, “That promise was fulfilled in Jesus,” and then wash their hands of responsibility.
That’s not theology. That’s apostasy.
THE ROOT OF THE DECEPTION: REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY
Tucker Carlson doesn’t need to quote “supersessionist” theology to promote it. He lives it. His rhetoric echoes a belief that America is central and Israel is just another foreign interest. That worldview is not just incorrect—it’s antichrist in spirit.
Replacement theology says the Church has inherited all the promises of Israel and Israel is now irrelevant. It teaches that God is done with the Jewish people and that modern Israel is a political accident, not a prophetic fulfillment.
That lie has fueled centuries of Christian antisemitism. That lie helped pave the way for the Holocaust. That lie is still taught today in reformed churches, seminaries, and YouTube prophecy shows run by people who couldn’t exegete Romans 11 if their life depended on it.
ROMANS 11: GOD IS NOT DONE WITH ISRAEL
Let’s revisit the Apostle Paul’s crystal-clear words:
“I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means!... For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”
—Romans 11:1,29 (ESV)
Read that again.
By. No. Means.
God has not, and will not, reject Israel. He may discipline her. He may scatter her. But He will never abandon her. Why? Because He made a promise to Abraham, and God does not lie.
ISRAEL’S EXISTENCE IS PROPHETIC
Israel is not a "nation-state" like any other. It is God's prophetic timepiece. You want to understand the end times? Watch Israel. Not the economy. Not NATO. Not your favorite “watchman” on Telegram. Israel is the key.
Every war, every conflict, every global backlash against Israel is spiritual. The devil hates Israel because the return of Jesus is linked to her repentance (see Zechariah 12:10).
And that’s why the hatred for Israel is growing. The UN hates her. The media slanders her. College campuses erupt with demonic chants for her destruction. Even “Christians” are siding with Hamas now... because they have no fear of God.
THE MODERN-DAY SEPARATION OF SHEEP AND GOATS
This debate—Cruz vs. Carlson—isn’t just about politics. It’s part of the great shaking happening in the Church. The wheat and the tares. The sheep and the goats. And Israel is the trigger.
You can’t claim to love Jesus and hate the people He came from.
You can’t quote Psalm 122:6 and then vote for leaders who empower Iran.
You can’t pray for revival and oppose the nation God chose to bear His name.
Let me say it again: how you treat Israel reveals your heart toward God.
TO THE "WOKE" CHRISTIAN CROWD…
Yes, I’m talking to you—the progressive Christian influencers, the deconstructing podcast hosts, the seminarian-turned-TikTok-critic crowd.
Stop pretending that Israel is the aggressor. Stop parroting Hamas propaganda. Stop spiritualizing genocide.
Do you even read your Bibles?
Hamas wants to erase Israel from the face of the earth. That’s not “liberation.” That’s Satanic.
When you oppose Israel's right to defend herself, you align with the demonic realm. Period.
And your hashtags won’t save you from the judgment of Genesis 12:3.
TO THE SILENT MAJORITY OF THE CHURCH…
Where are you?
Why are so many pulpits silent while rockets rain down on Tel Aviv? Why are major Christian conferences ignoring this moment?
We are in a prophetic hour. Israel needs our prayers. Israel needs our voice. And most of all, we need to recognize that blessing Israel is blessing ourselves.
Silence is complicity.
And God is watching.
WHY TED CRUZ WAS RIGHT
Ted Cruz understands what many pastors have forgotten: Israel matters to God. And when America supports Israel, we’re not just securing an alliance—we’re aligning with Heaven.
Cruz’s defense of Israel was rooted in historical truth, moral clarity, and spiritual instinct. He may not have quoted Genesis 12:3 directly, but his conviction echoed it. He stood firm while others waffled. And for that, I say: well done, Senator.
WHY TUCKER CARLSON WAS DEAD WRONG
Tucker Carlson has influence—but no reverence for God’s covenant. His argument was rooted in nationalism, not scripture. He reduced Israel to a strategic liability, a burden on U.S. interests. He exposed a worldview that says America is the center of the universe.
It’s not.
Jerusalem is.
Tucker’s voice is powerful—but not prophetic. And unless he repents of this dangerous worldview, he’ll find himself on the wrong side of history, prophecy, and eternity.
WHERE DO YOU STAND?
Genesis 12:3 is not optional. It’s a sword that divides. You either bless Israel and are blessed, or you dishonor Israel and face God’s rebuke.
This is not just about a nation. It’s about God’s name. He chose Israel. He planted her. He protects her. And whether you understand the politics or not, your posture toward her determines your spiritual alignment.
QUESTION OF THE DAY
Do you bless what God blesses... or question what He has made clear?
LET’S PRAY
Father, open our eyes to Your covenant. Remove any pride, blindness, or deception that would lead us to dishonor what You have declared holy. Give us courage to speak truth, defend righteousness, and bless Israel with all our heart, all our prayers, and all our influence. May we be found faithful. In Jesus’ name, amen.
