Enough is Enough: It’s Time to Get Unstuck

Brother, it’s time for a wake-up call. How many times have you told yourself, “I’ve got this,” only to find out that you don’t? That phrase is a security blanket we hold onto—a lie we tell ourselves to project strength. But deep down, we know there are battles we can’t fight alone. It’s time to stop pretending. It’s time to stop being stuck.
You see, “I’ve got this” isn’t just words. It’s the armor we wear to hide our struggles. We tell ourselves—and everyone around us—that we’re in control, that we’re handling it, that we can go it alone. But sometimes, brother, you and I both know that’s not true. There are moments when you hit a wall, when life’s challenges knock you flat, when you know that no matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to get free. But instead of reaching out, we dig our heels in, determined to just “try harder” and power through.
But here’s the reality: Some things are too big for you to handle on your own.
And that’s not a sign of weakness—that’s a sign you were never meant to do it by yourself. God designed us to live in community, to fight alongside brothers who will hold us up, pray for us, and stand in the gap. And when you try to go it alone, you cut yourself off from one of the greatest sources of strength God has given you: your brothers in Christ.
It’s Time to Bring It Into the Light
Scripture makes it clear: “Though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). If you’re struggling with something too big for you, if there’s a challenge you’ve been hiding behind “I’ve got this” for too long, it’s time to let it go. God gave you a community of men for a reason—so that you don’t have to carry those burdens alone.
So What Now?
It’s time to do the hard thing—the thing that takes courage and humility. Call out that struggle you’ve been holding onto. Name that area where you’re stuck. And reach out to a brother or a group of brothers who can walk with you through it. Crush the lie that you have to do this on your own. Share your story, ask for help, and let them help you break free.

My natural inclination is “I’ve got this,” followed by the realization that there is a congregation of believers, fellow believers in our neighborhood and Church. We have learned to lean on the body, and reach out with our hands and hearts to encourage and help those in need.
