Let me tell you what obedience actually feels like most of the time.

It feels unreasonable.

Not dramatic. Not obviously wrong. Just — unreasonable. The instruction is clear enough, but the logic behind it isn’t. The direction makes sense from 30,000 feet but from where you’re standing, with the information you have, in the season you’re in, it doesn’t add up. And so you do what most reasonable people do. You wait. You gather more information. You pray about it some more. You tell yourself you want to make sure before you move.

And God is sitting there watching you negotiate with an instruction He already gave you.

Abraham didn’t know where he was going when he left. Noah had never seen rain when he started building. Gideon sent 31,700 men home before a battle against an army he couldn’t count. Every person God used significantly was asked to move before the full picture was visible. That is not a coincidence. That is the pattern. And if you’ve been waiting for the logic to fully arrive before you obey, you have been misreading how God generally operates.
