Building Your Circle of Strength

"...a threefold cord is not quickly broken." —Ecclesiastes 4:12
Brother, let’s cut to the chase: You’re not meant to walk this journey alone. If you want your family to thrive—not just survive—you need a circle around you that’s bigger than just your immediate family. It’s time to expand your circle of strength.
Here’s the deal: Life’s battles are tough. Whether it’s raising your kids, loving your spouse well, or staying rooted in your faith, you need brothers and sisters who know your struggles, who celebrate your victories, and who call you to be better. I’m talking about the kind of people who know you inside out—who know your kids’ names, your family’s story, your wins, and your wounds. They walk with you, side by side, through every storm and victory.
Why do we need them? Because, brother, if you’re not intentional about who’s speaking into your life, the world is going to do it for you—and you don’t want that. We’re surrounded by influences that want to pull us away from God’s design for our families. And without the right circle, it’s easy to slip into isolation, to think we’re doing it all alone. That’s how marriages crack, kids wander, and men lose their way.
God calls us to more than that. 1 Timothy 5:8 tells us, “if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith.” That’s a serious call. Providing isn’t just about a roof and food—it’s about the spiritual and emotional support that keeps your family standing firm. And that’s something you can’t do by yourself.
What’s Your Move?
If you want a strong family, you need to expand your circle. Find people who love God fiercely, who will be there in the highs and lows, and who will be the strength your family needs when you’re weak. But remember—this takes work. Start praying today about who God wants in your circle. Reach out, be bold, and let them know you’re ready to go deep. If they’re ready too, make a plan. Share meals, traditions, prayer time—whatever it takes to build each other up.
So, who’s in your circle? And if you don’t have one, who’s going to be? This is your time to take action.
Share your next move in the comments below, and let’s start building families that can’t be shaken.

Matthew, I love this reminder that we can’t do life alone! Building a strong circle is so important for keeping our families grounded and supported. Thanks for encouraging us to be intentional about who we let in—such a needed challenge!
