Bring Life into Alignment
TODAY’S FOCUS IS: Living with Integrity by Aligning with God’s Design
“. . . get out there and walk . . . on the road God called you to travel.” —Ephesians 4:1-3 (MSG)
Integrity isn’t just about being honest—it’s about being whole. Just like a steel beam that fulfills its purpose when it’s aligned in design, strength, and use, we are at our strongest when our lives are aligned with how God made us. When our purpose, design, and choices are in harmony, we’re able to carry the load God intended—and influence the people He’s entrusted to us.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
Here’s the key: God did the designing, but we choose how we’re used. He gifted you with talents, passions, and experiences that point toward a purpose. But if you ignore those and follow someone else’s plan or chase the world’s definition of success, your life will feel out of sync—like a bent beam trying to hold weight it was never meant to carry.
When your life feels strained or scattered, ask: “Is this how God built me to be used?” If not, it’s time to recalibrate.
So What Do We Do?
Start with a Project:
Pick something small, meaningful, and personal. Maybe it’s mentoring a younger man, writing an encouraging note to someone, fixing something for a neighbor, or volunteering using your particular skills. Whatever it is, make sure it:
Engages your passions
Uses your gifts
Serves others
Don’t overthink it—just start. Your obedience in the small things builds momentum in the big things.
Challenge of the Week
Journal your answers to these three questions:
What do I love doing that helps others?
What skills or talents come naturally to me?
What breaks my heart or stirs something deep in me?
Now, use those answers to come up with one project this week where you can serve in alignment with your design.
Let’s Pray
Father, You made me with purpose. Help me discover where my life is out of alignment and give me the courage to bring it back. Show me what You want to do with the gifts You’ve placed in me, and help me say yes—even to the small things. Use me, Lord, in the way You intended. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Brother, you were not built for wandering—you were built for purpose. Step into alignment.
