26-134 The Version of You That Keeps Showing Up

Today’s Focus is: Why consistency in the unseen seasons is the most powerful thing you can do right now

WELCOME

Nobody is going to give you an award for the days you showed up when you didn’t feel like it. Nobody saw the morning you opened your Bible when your mind was somewhere else entirely. Nobody clapped when you chose to pray instead of spiral, or when you kept serving in a ministry that hasn’t felt exciting in months. Nobody noticed — except God.

And I want to talk about that person today. The version of you that keeps showing up anyway.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF…

You’ve been faithful in private for a long time and you’re starting to wonder if it’s actually doing anything. If the consistency feels more like routine than revival. If you’re doing all the right things but the fire doesn’t feel like it did at the beginning. If you’re tempted to believe that quiet faithfulness doesn’t count for much.

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT

The most spiritually dangerous lie in an endurance season is that consistency without visible results means nothing. It means everything. It’s the very thing God is building on.

OUR SPRINGBOARD FOR TODAY’S DISCUSSION IS:

“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much.’” — Matthew 25:23, ESV

THIS MINISTRY RUNS ON FAITHFULNESS TOO

Just like you’re showing up every day, this podcast shows up every day — because of listeners who believe it’s worth supporting. If these episodes are adding something real to your walk with God, consider buying me a coffee. It helps keep the content coming without slowing down.

MAIN MENTORING

The master in that parable didn’t say “well done, talented servant” or “well done, successful servant.” He said well done, faithful servant. The thing that earned the recognition wasn’t the size of the result. It was the consistency of the obedience.

That is not a small distinction. That is the whole point.

We live in a culture that measures everything by output — numbers, growth, visibility, impact you can screenshot and share. And when those metrics are slow or absent, we start to feel like we’re behind. Like something must be wrong. Like maybe we should be doing something bigger or different or more impressive.

But God doesn’t run on your metrics. He watches faithfulness. He sees the private obedience. He notices the consistent effort that nobody else is counting. And according to Jesus, that is precisely the kind of track record that qualifies a person for more responsibility in the Kingdom.

Faithfulness over a little. That’s the criteria. Not brilliance over a lot. Not explosive growth over a short period. Faithfulness. Over. A little.

Here’s what that means practically. The season you’re in right now — the quiet one, the unsexy one, the one where nothing seems to be happening — is not a gap in your story. It is your story. It is the chapter where your character is being written in a way that the highlight reel never could. Anyone can show up when things are exciting. The people God trusts with significant assignments are the ones who showed up when things were hard and ordinary and invisible.

Don’t underestimate what God is doing with your consistency right now. Every day you choose faithfulness over frustration, you are being trusted with a little more. It may not be visible yet. But it is absolutely being recorded.

DAILY ACTION

Write down one thing you have been consistently faithful in during this season — however small it feels. Acknowledge it before God today as an act of worship, not performance. Tell Him you’re choosing to keep going.

THE DAILY CHARGE

Keep showing up. Not because it’s exciting right now, but because faithfulness is the language God responds to. You are being seen. You are being trusted. Don’t stop now.

CLOSING WHISPER

God, some days this feels invisible. Like what I’m doing doesn’t register anywhere. But I know that’s not true — I know You see it. So today I’m choosing to be faithful not for an audience, not for results, but for You. That has to be enough. And honestly, I’m asking You to remind me that it is. Amen.
