Today, we're diving into a topic that’s at the core of walking with God—obedience to the Holy Spirit’s leading. When God nudges us, do we respond, or do we hesitate? Let’s get to work.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is: Acts 8:29 – “And the Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go over and join this chariot.’”
Philip was in the middle of a powerful ministry when the Holy Spirit led him to a desert road. No explanation, no details—just a command. Philip didn’t hesitate. He obeyed, and because of that, an Ethiopian official heard the gospel and was baptized. This one act of obedience had ripple effects far beyond what Philip could see.
Obedience to the Holy Spirit often requires us to move before we understand the full picture. God may prompt you to speak to someone, change direction, or step into an opportunity that makes no sense at the moment. But trust this—small steps of obedience lead to bigger moves of God.
The key is immediate obedience. When Philip ran to the chariot, he didn’t wait for more information. He acted. That’s what faith in action looks like. God doesn’t ask for our understanding—He asks for our obedience.

Let’s Pray: Lord, help us to recognize Your voice and respond without hesitation. Give us the courage to step forward, even when we don’t see the whole picture. Let our obedience lead to greater moves of Your power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
