Today, we’re talking about something essential for every believer’s journey—mentorship. We all need guidance, wisdom, and accountability, and God designed spiritual leadership to be passed down through faithful men and women who pour into the next generation.
Our springboard for today’s discussion is:
"And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also." — 2 Timothy 2:2
Paul knew the importance of spiritual mentorship. He poured into Timothy, equipping him with truth, encouragement, and the strength to lead. In the same way, Elijah mentored Elisha, preparing him to continue the prophetic mission. This biblical model teaches us that we are not meant to walk alone. We need spiritual fathers, mothers, and mentors to shape us, just as we are called to disciple others.
Mentorship isn’t about perfection—it’s about faithfulness. A mentor offers wisdom from experience, prays over your journey, and challenges you to grow in faith. If you don’t have a mentor, seek one. Pray for God to send someone into your life who can guide you. And if you’re mature in the faith, consider investing in someone else.
Question of the Day: Who has been a spiritual mentor in your life, and how has their guidance helped you grow in faith?
Let’s Pray:
Lord, thank You for the leaders and mentors who have shaped our walk with You. Help us to be faithful stewards of the wisdom You’ve given us. Lead us to those who will guide us and those we are called to mentor. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Let’s Get To Work!
