23-222 Living in the Age of Divine Communication: Lessons from Pentecost

"Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams." (ACTS 2:17)

Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm your host, Matthew Adams. In today's episode, we're taking a journey back to the day of Pentecost and exploring the profound implications it has for us today in our personal communication with God.

Scripture: "Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams." (ACTS 2:17)

We live in an era where direct communication with God is not just possible but intended by Him. Today's episode reveals how the day of Pentecost marked the start of a new spiritual era and how we, as children of God, can experience prophetic sensitivities, visions, and dreams.

Point 1: The New Era of the Spirit

Pentecost marked the beginning of a new era. The Holy Spirit, the divine communicator, was poured out on the believers, and prophecy, visions, and dreams became accessible to all God's people. This moment demonstrates God's desire to communicate with each one of us, breaking down barriers of gender, age, and status.

Point 2: Accessibility of God

God, through His Spirit, is accessible to every believer. The coming of the Holy Spirit signifies a shift from a distant God to an intimate, personal, and accessible God. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 indicates, all who belong to Christ are a new creation, capable of receiving the gifts and hearing the voice of the Spirit.

Point 3: The Reality of Spiritual Droughts

Even in this era of open communication, there are times when God seems silent, causing us to go through dark and confusing times. Yet, these periods are temporary and not reflective of God's nature. He desires for us to know Him, and it is our role to continue seeking Him, even in the face of seeming silence.

Conclusion:

We're living in the age of divine communication. This is a time of open communication with God, where prophetic revelations, visions, and dreams are not uncommon but an invitation to deeper communion with God.

Call to Action:

Let's press into God, seeking to know Him more deeply. May we pray and yearn for the clear expressions of His truth in our lives. Let's invite the Holy Spirit to guide us into a reality where the spiritual environment of Pentecost is active in our lives today.

Prayer:

Spirit of God, stir in us a longing for Your truth. We ask for visions and dreams, in whatever form You choose to reveal them. Help us to live in the free-flowing spiritual environment of Pentecost today and every day.
