My Beloved Child,
So often, you cry out to hear My voice. I listen and respond, but it's not always the hearing that is the issue, but rather, the listening. Hearing is passive, simply receiving the noise around you. Listening, however, is active. It's an intentional focus to understand and absorb the message being conveyed. Many times, you hear My voice, but you dismiss it as your own thoughts or coincidence, or perhaps you believe that the words in the Bible were meant for a different time and place, and are not applicable to your life today.
And yet, all the while, as you cry out for Me to speak, I am calling out for you to truly listen, to interpret, to comprehend, and to act on My words. I am not seeking passive hearers in My Kingdom; I desire active listeners. I invite you to take risks and step out in faith based on what you hear. If you are unsure whether you have truly heard Me, choose to believe that you have. Trust in My ability to make Myself heard and understood, rather than doubting in your ability to correctly discern My voice.
Do not be afraid of making mistakes. If you step out in faith and you stumble, know that I will be there to lift you up. I do not condemn those who dare to listen and to act. I applaud their faith and their courage. If you step off the path, I am there to gently guide you back. My grace is abundantly sufficient for those who listen, those who trust, those who are willing to take a chance and follow My voice.
Listening requires more than your ears. It demands your heart. My voice often resonates on a deeper level, a place where trust, faith, and love intersect. This is where discernment takes root and blossoms into understanding. And it is here that you will find the courage and the boldness to act upon My words.
So, My Child, I urge you to not just hear but to truly listen. Lean into the whispers of My voice. Commit to this deeper level of listening and I will meet you there. Together, we will navigate your journey, step by step, one act of faith at a time. Trust Me, and do not fear.
