My Dearest Child,
As you delve into My Word, what motivates your reading? Some people engage with it only to understand the rules, the "do's and don'ts." But others, like you, yearn for something more profound—they read to uncover the depths of My heart. Consider My commandment about the Sabbath. For many, it has been misconstrued as a burdensome obligation, something that brings guilt rather than peace. But oh, My child, that was never My intention. Can you see My heart in this command? I designed the Sabbath not as a duty, but as a gift—for you to rest, be refreshed, and delight in My presence.
I created you to need respite from the constant churn of life, to find joy and renewal in sacred pauses. The Sabbath is an invitation to step away from your usual tasks without guilt or justification. It is your divine permission to rest, a time when you can turn your back on the world's demands and lean into My comforting embrace.
Remember this: all My instructions are rooted in relationship, not in rigid rules. They are not arbitrary requirements but are reflections of our communion, born out of My boundless love for you. When you honor them, it's not out of obligation but out of a heartfelt response to My love.
So as you keep the Sabbath, know that it is more than just a day of rest—it is a day of joy, a day to revel in our relationship. It's a day for you to be with Me, unhurried and unburdened, relishing our sweet fellowship. Embrace this day with delight, My child, for it is indeed a gift from My heart to yours.
