Welcome to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast," where we explore how to listen and respond to God's voice. I'm your host, Matthew Adams, and today we're discussing Galatians 4:6 and the intimate relationship we can have with God as His children. "Because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, 'Abba, Father.'" Let's dive into three key points that will help us understand the depth of our relationship with God and how we can communicate with Him openly and intimately.

In today's world, many people struggle with understanding the concept of having an intimate relationship with God. But as His children, we're invited to call Him "Abba," an affectionate term for "Father," and to approach Him without fear. Today, we'll talk about the importance of embracing our role as God's children and how it affects the way we communicate with Him.

Point 1: We are adopted and favored children of God

As children of God, we are not slaves but have been adopted into the divine family. We can approach God with familiarity and speak to Him on intimate terms, without fear or reservation.

Point 2: God speaks to us with tenderness and warmth

As our heavenly Father, God communicates with us in a personal and affectionate manner. He calls us with terms of endearment, appeals to our hearts, and invites us into a closer relationship with Him.

Point 3: Reject the notion of being "too familiar" with God

Some may warn us about becoming "too familiar" or "too intimate" with God, but we shouldn't let this hinder our childlike relationship with Him. Embrace the intimacy and connection that comes with being a child of God.

Conclusion:

As God's children, we are invited to embrace the intimate relationship He offers and to communicate with Him openly and personally. By doing so, we can grow closer to our heavenly Father and experience the warmth and tenderness He desires to share with us.
