23-084 ARE YOU LISTENING?

VERSE: This is what the LORD , the God of Israel, says: I have heard your prayer about King Sennacherib of Assyria. And the LORD has spoken . . . against him. 2 KINGS 19:20-21

Hey Warriors, today I want to talk to you about the power of God’s whisper. Hezekiah found himself in a desperate situation, and the only way out was to hear from God. And when he prayed, God spoke to him through the prophet Isaiah. The same God who spoke to Hezekiah is the same God who speaks to us today. But are we listening?

Some things to think about

1: Are you presenting your needs to God?

We cannot expect to hear from God if we do not present our needs to Him. Hezekiah could have chosen to surrender or make a hasty decision, but instead, he chose to pray and wait on the Lord. When we come to God in prayer, we are acknowledging our need for Him, and we are positioning ourselves to hear from Him.

Follow-up Question 2: Are you listening closely?

God often speaks in a whisper, and if we are not listening closely, we can miss what He is saying. Hezekiah could have easily dismissed Isaiah’s prophecy as wishful thinking or a figment of his imagination. But instead, he chose to listen and believe. When we listen to God’s voice, we can have the same confidence that Hezekiah had in the midst of his trial.

Follow-up Question 3: Are you willing to cooperate with God’s solution?

God’s solutions often require our cooperation. Hezekiah could have easily dismissed Isaiah’s prophecy and not taken any action. But instead, he cooperated with God’s plan and was able to experience miraculous deliverance. When we hear from God, we need to be willing to cooperate with His plan and trust that He will bring it to pass.

Call to Action:

My dear friends, today I want to challenge you to pray, wait, and listen for God’s whisper. He is speaking, but are we listening? Let us present our needs to Him, listen closely, and be willing to cooperate with His plan.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the power of God’s whisper is available to all of us. Hezekiah was able to experience miraculous deliverance because he presented his need to God, listened closely, and was willing to cooperate with His plan. May we also be like Hezekiah and hear from God in the midst of our trials. Let us pray, wait, and listen for His voice. And when we hear it, let us be willing to cooperate with His plan and trust that He will bring it to pass. God bless you all.

Let’s Pray…I have impossible situations too, Lord. Please speak into them. Turn back the threats, reverse the momentum, and open doors of opportunity. Let me see the miracles that come from Your mouth.
