What if I told you that you have access to a spiritual wisdom and insight that could revolutionize the way you understand and know God? That's what Paul prayed for the believers in Ephesus in the first chapter of his letter to them. He said, "I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God."
Do you hear that? Paul wasn't just asking for God to give the Ephesians a little bit of knowledge about God. He was asking for a supernatural impartation of spiritual wisdom and insight that would lead them into a deeper and richer relationship with the Creator of the universe. And that same prayer is available to us today.
We live in a world that is saturated with information about God. We have access to more resources, more teachings, and more sermons than ever before. But information alone isn't enough. We need a revelation. We need the Holy Spirit to come and give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we can truly know God in all His fullness.
Think about it. If you were to meet a famous person that you admired, you could read all of their biographies, watch all of their interviews, and listen to all of their speeches, but you still wouldn't really know them. You might have a lot of information about them, but you wouldn't have a personal relationship with them. In the same way, we can have a lot of information about God, but unless we have a revelation of who He is, we won't really know Him.
So let me ask you, have you been asking God for a spirit of wisdom and revelation? Have you been asking Him to reveal Himself to you in a deeper and more profound way? Because if you haven't, you're missing out on one of the greatest gifts that God has for us.
God wants us to know Him. He wants us to experience His love, His grace, His power, and His presence in a tangible way. But in order to do that, we need a revelation. We need the Holy Spirit to come and open our eyes to the beauty and majesty of God. And that's exactly what Paul prayed for the Ephesians, and that's what we can pray for ourselves today. So let's pray that prayer together and ask God to give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we can know Him in all His fullness.
Let’s Pray…Lord, open my eyes to see You —to really know in the depths of my soul who You are. May Your voice come to me from the purity of that place: uncorrupted, unbiased, and straight from Your heart to mine.
