Hey there Warriors…welcome back to the Power of God's Whisper podcast, where we explore the mysteries and wonders of hearing from God. Today, we're diving into the topic of silence.
Have you ever felt like God is silent? Like you're speaking to a brick wall, and your prayers are just bouncing back at you? It's a common feeling, especially during life's difficult seasons. But what if I told you that God's silence is actually a form of communication?
In Job 23:3-5, Job expressed his desire to find God and present his arguments before Him. He wanted to hear from God and understand His response. But what happens when God doesn't immediately answer? Job didn't give up or walk away; he drew nearer to God. He persisted in seeking Him, and in doing so, he refined his hearing and his faith.
You see, God's silences are as much a part of His communication as His voice is. They test our mettle and teach us to listen more attentively. When we don't hear from God, it's not a sign to give up, but an opportunity to draw nearer. God wants us to come closer, to tune our ears to His voice, and to wait patiently for Him.
It may be uncomfortable and even painful at times, but those who keep pressing in will reap rewards for their persistence. They will learn to depend on the God they cannot hear, cannot see, and cannot sense in any other way. His most recent words will continue to echo in their souls, forcing their hearts to choose between faith and fear, between assurance and uncertainty, between hope and despair.
So, if you're feeling like God is silent right now, don't get impatient or give up. Know that He is drawing you nearer and teaching you the fine art of waiting for Him. The silence won't last forever, and the rewards of persistence will be worth it.
Thanks for tuning in today. Join us next time as we continue to explore the power of God's whisper. Remember, listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for He speaks peace to His faithful people.
Let’s pray…Lord, when I can’t sense Your presence or hear Your voice, please keep drawing me toward You. Give me the patience and persistence to keep seeking Your face.
